Where to Dump Li-Ion Batteries?
I have some old li-ion batteries I need to get rid of. Where do I take them to?

Call your local recycling center. DO NOT toss them in the garbage.

Some auto parts stores can safely dispose of batteries. I know AutoZone takes lead acid and nickel based batteries, but I'm not sure about lithium.

Lithium ion batteries can be simply thrown out once they are 'de-activated'. What you have to do is put them in a bucket of water with a bit of salt (ONE BATTERY AT A TIME!) or something like that.

"or something like that"?!?
These are bombs we're dealing with here! I think I'll look that up before I just do it.

Well I looked it up and lithium ion batteries should be recycled, but can safely be thrown out. Just don't go yelling at me when your house gets burned down by angry hippies(and then they commit suicide because they just put a ton of toxic combustion product into the air)
