For Sale: Yellow Gameboy Color -Works-

Post by emeraldz »

Up for sale I have a Yellow Gameboy color which has been through a lot. Despite its initial looks it works just fine, except for sound you'll need to plug in some headphones. I cleaned this unit up a lot. (This used to completely 100% covered in sharpie. WTF was the previous owner thinking? lol.) it is missing the battery cover and it looks like some of the back covering that covers the game cartridge has been cut off as well. The screen has scratches, though I don't think it hinders gameplay. This unit has seen its time and is probably the best fodder for a mod or parts by now.

Paypal and money orders accepted.

I am opening this item up to reasonable offers from you modders out there.

Try using a Mr. Clean magic eraser. Just be careful around the printed logos, though.

Mr. Clean eraser is wjat I use to get rid of all permanent marker on plastics. works great. Maybe, emeraldz, you should clean up the gbc with that before you sell it.

It looks like a well-loved Tonka truck. You should sell it like that.

I know, it's just that other people were making recommendations for how to get rid of the Sharpie; I'm in favor of leaving it as-is because it looks cool.

To the buyer, use TOOTHPASTE. Yes, toothpaste when left on for about 5-10 minutes will clean that sharpie right off. Trust me, I have a cousin who draws on everything with sharpie.

Or, I could just use some Krylon fusion on it. ;) I may just re-live my childhood by drawing on it with sharpie again.
