PS1 portable or PS2 portable?

Post by thewise1 »

I plant to make either of these when I'm done with my n64p.

I would like to make a PS2 portable instead of ps1 and use the slim so I can play ps1 and ps2 games. Are there an major differences like battery life or difficulty?

Also I saw there was a wiring diagram on these forums earlier for ps2 but I can't find it anymore, and the search function is on the fritz.

I only played a few different games on ps2 and ps1, spyro for ps1 and ssx for ps2. I think the ps1 will be much easier if I can find a wiring diagram.

Which one do you think I should make? and
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for ps1?

I am sure many would say to make a PS2 as you can play both PS1 and PS2 games on it, however I don't know much on the PS2 board and never opened one up so don't know if the board is big or small - however, you ask for a wiring diagram on the PS1 - that I can help with - look on my site - "Playstation 1".

Actually I've already seen you're ps1 guide but I don't see a clear layout of what goes where with the batteries and screen.

The PsTwo mobo is easily the most beautiful mobo I have ever laid eyes on. Not a single mm of space is wasted, giving you a really compact mobo.

Ps2 is way harder but I have done it and can help, mine was choppy, but it could be better then nothing or maybe not. It sucks battery life, but I could point you to a battery that would give it 6-7 hours with modded screen.

Yeah I know I saw a wiring diagram of one around here somewhere, but I can't find it.

And sony portabiliezer can you point out that battery that will give me this so called 6-7 hour battery life.

(yeah I sound sarcastic but seriously, 6-7 hours, that's got to be like 12 amps.
