Ya just use a multimeter, or you can simply test it yourself.

There is a red wire, but if you noticed, the other two wires are grey and orange

I'm guessing this:
red=+
gray=gnd
orange=pulse output for RPM monitoring.
it could be using anything from 5-12 V. Considering the shape, it looks like it comes from either a laptop or console, in which case 5 V is a more likely bet. Hooking up 4-5 V should make it start moving at least. 3 AA batteries should do it.
