My Super Rutenik's (rubik's cube and SNES) project

Post by gamerjr »

Ok i have started my project for the past few weeks, (mostly making the controller) and im just going to keep everyone updated here. Currently my controller is 90% done im just being lazy in finishing it. I was an idiot and bought the Intec gamecube screen so im waiting for my PSOne screen to come in, and my Snes mini will be arriving in about a week. In a bit ill will post my rough sketch which im planning like a clamshell like but im not sure yet still in thinking processes.

Ok well i decided to do it lazy way and found a case already which i will modify but i feel bad because its so simple and very similar to the ZN-20 case ben already used. the model below is only a sketch which i did in about 30 minutes, the box dimension and screen are correct and the cartridge slot will depending on my space left over. and i didnt round off the edges at all which i plan to do. also batteries are non existant in this model so we will see what i can do.

Ok well i have decided to make a minor change and will change this in the morning. I started to feel with my hands holding the L and R like it does on there and it feels weird so im going to implement them horizontally instead of vertically

Ok well i have a question about batteries... currently i have 6 AA 1800mAH and questioning should i just buy better batteries... I am going to be doing the LED mod for the PSOne screen and i want to know what is the absolute best value for batteries without money as an issue. (i feel lonely as no1 is responding to my posts)

If you want responses, post pictures of your progress or ask questions.

I am using about an 8 battery pack with about 1600mAH, so I'd say 1800 is pretty good. The PSone screen will consume about 400mAH and I'm not too positive about the SNES, probably around 300-350mAH. You can definitely buy better batteries if you really want to.

Someone's using Autodesk Inventor!

Honestly though, that's like if I made my laptop an ED THE TALKING HORSE laptop - it's stupid, since nothing on the laptop is vaguely related to ED THE TALKING HORSE.

I can't give good advice, as skill comes with practice. But have your desoldering iron out and try and try again. :D

Yeah i figured that. Ok well i now have a problem with the power. and dont make fun of me because im too lazy to setup the batteries right because im changing them to Li-poly batteries soon. Basics are that when i complete the circuit my screen (its not the screen thats going to be used on here so i left it out) lights up as its receive a signal and i also get the classical feedback noise but no video or audio. I dont think its fried but what do i know. here is some pics that i dont think will help too much
