Drivers beware! Nightwheel has a Learner's Permit

Yea I got my learner's permit today. So I have been driving around some today. It wasn't as bad as i though it would be taking the test to get the Permit. And driving isn't that bad either. I just need to remember not to blow any stop signs. Or do a rolling stop through a stop sign. I also need to remember to use my turning signals when I go to turn. (Yes I for got to do some of the above today while driving.)

I also have currently a slight problem of me gravitating towards the right side of the road where the ditches and the mail boxes are.

But anyways, My Mom and Dad are still alive. I'm also still alive. And my Mom's van and my Dad's truck aren't totaled. So today has been a pretty good day.

Congrats man! I had my permit then failed my written test for my license, but I only missed 2 on my driving test. So now I need to try it again. Good luck with driving. So I'm guessing you're 16 now?

I have had my Learners Permit for a month or two now.

Though I am learning how to drive in a Manual, so it takes a little longer to start learning how to drive in a Manual instead of an Automatic like most kids these days.

But Manual transmission cars get better gas mileage than their Automatic Counterparts once you get used to them.

Currently learning how to drive in a 5 Speed Manual Ford Fusion.

I have a friend who thinks he's a good driver, but centers himself in his lane.

This does NOT center the car in the lane, and you end up driving on the shoulder.

Try to focus on driving 3/4 of the way to the left, it will center the car. It worked for me.

Good for you! If it's at all possible, try to schedual your driving test on a day that's supposed to have really bad weather--they're not so hard on you when taking points off when you miss things

I first learned to drive manual in my dad's '45 jeep a few years ago. lol I was twelve and was driving in camp grounds, but I learned. In a month or two, I will be getting my temps. Yay.

Yeah, imagine the look of surprise on my face when I first realised how easy automatic is. I find automatic quite boring compared to manual, though.

Ya. I've driven manual a few times. I really suck at going from a standstill.

I can shift fine and all, but once I stop, its hard for me to do the clutch and gas in good enough unison.

Yeah that my only problem right now, everything else is a piece of cake.

Oh and Inclines, those are a REAL female of the dog species to get started on, though I cheat (if you call it that) and use the Handbrake.

Just avoid Michigan, we have enough bad drivers already. No need to compound the problem.

But congratulations. Once you get a car of you're own, you'll be having fun... until you drive up to the pump that is. j/k.

Lucky. The last time I drove, I driven 30 meters... Backwards.
