light problem GBA SP

my GBA SP seems not to have enough light, the screen is rather dark (even darker when light is being dimmed, of course)
ive tried to disassemble it looking for bad connections etc but nothing seems wrong

how do i increase the light??

What are you comapring it to? Is it the backlit of the frontlit one?

My first bet is that it is fine, and you are just used to brighter screens.
