I cannot for the life of me figure out why the hell this Thinkpad T20 Blue Screens EVERY TIME I try to install XP.
As soon as I enter the CD Key, I then hit next, BAM Blue screen.
I googled the Blue Screen error which was Page_Fault_in_NonPaged_Area, and from what I found, it was either a RAM, or HDD problem.
Ran Memtest86 for 3 hours last night and everything was perfectly fine, Passed 3 times with not a single error, ok RAM was then ruled out, so I try 3 different laptop drives, they all formatted fine, and with all 3 different Hard Drives, it blue screens, so it isn't the Hard drive.
Then on the blue screen, it says something about Hard Drive Shadowing or something like that, I look for it to disable it in the Bios, but nothing even related to shadowing can be found in the Bios.
So then I thought maybe a Bios Upgrade was needed to support XP, look up the bios update, and the Bios that supports XP was a way older Bios than what was already on the laptop.
I am at the end of my rope, I am so close to just telling my mom her laptop is dead. So can anybody help? I am still gonna try a Bios upgrade since the bios still isn't the latest, but if that does work what would you guys think.
