Yes, I'm very interested in hacking a Sega Genesis. Though, I disassembled an SG/FC (which is a sega genesis clone i happen to own) due to the malfunctioning of the controllers.
I wonder what materials will i need to make it a portable genesis. In terms of this, the SG/FC has the same functionality of the Gen-X (since both have the same NOAC and both can play MD imports and special cartridges like sonic & knuckles).
Along with that, I also want to make it playable for SMS and 32X games as well.

If you want 32X compatibility, I don't know of any clone that supports the 32X. Same thing with the power base converters. I've yet to see a clone that supports them. You might need to use a Genesis 1 or 2 to be able to have a portable with that support.
