Cheap screens on Ebay: Sketchy?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

They're screens from a broken DVD player. He'd have to sell them cheap. They do have limited use, despite having AV in capabilities.

Looks like you'll get two screens, and not much more. I can't tell from the included pictures where the AV goes in, though. As long as all the controllers are included on the boards, it'll work for a portable.

I'd be using it for a portable.
I've heard the Polaroid DVD players are good.

I want to know if I can be reasonably sure that the screens work.

The point is, You get two 7" screens for $28, free shipping.
Trustworthy investment?

I'd say it's cheap enough to be worth risking it.

These probably are able to take composite or whatever, so you'll probably be able to use them.

If I get an OK from you, or someone else who's respectable, I'm going for it.

Using google to find reviews and more pictures, it looks like there's a chance only one screen's going to have the AV in capabilities. The other looks like it requires the bottom half part to accept AV in. I admit, I can't be absolutely certain, though.

Looks like at least one screen for $28 shipped. If that's worth it to you, then go for it.

Found an owner's manual in PDF format.

It looks like the main screen does get its av in from the bottom board. There's still a slim chance AV in points can be found on the screen part, though. It's hard to tell without seeing the thing itself.

Hm, just noticed that they're widescreen.
That's not good for an N64p.

Someone else should get it and tell us, I have no use for it anymore.

I say it's fantastic. It even says it has component in. I'm debating whether to surprise my wife when she gets home and tell her I bought it, or talk it over with her first. Good for a christmas present.

I have those. Only one screen takes input, the other output the DVD video to the other scree, and its own screen, and has no composite controller on it.

So, only one screen.

In addition to you.

I thought about rewording that, but didn't bother. :D
