Calling all video editors!

Post by CronoTriggerfan »

After mulling over some feedback emails about a podcast I'm on, we've decided to try and diversify our content and offer more than just a weekly show. Part of the new content is going to be a bi-weekly video review of a retro "hidden gem" done by myself. While I was cutting together the first episode, I realized that I need some kind of short, cool intro, but I've got nothing. Anyone wanna help out? Perhaps base it off of our logo (see sig,) and include the name of the segment, which is "Retro (Re)discovery".

Help would be much appreciated and not gone unrewarded. I could send whoever makes the best intro some Genesis games, SNES games, or this PMP with a camera and an NES emulator. Thanks for looking, I hope someone can help! :(

I'll try to throw something together; I won't have time for a few days though. How long are you looking for it to be?

Thanks! :D As far as length goes, I'm flexible. 10-15 seconds seems good, but if creative ingenuity is thriving (or lacking), shorter/longer than that is fine, too.

I could play around with it and see what I come up with later today. I may or may not make anything worth using.

It's automatically worth using, as currently I have nothing.

I'll do it tomorrow. Did you make your logo? Do you have a high resolution version of it? Maybe even a Photoshop file?

EDIT: Do you have music? I love matching animation to music. It seems more professional.

Also, I just noticed that the sig is actually not the name of the show, so never mind about what I said earlier.
If you're looking at this post and it was made before 2008, just ignore it.

Thanks, guys! :D As for music, I was thinking that parts of On Target by Nullsleep are quite catchy, take your pick what segments of it you want to use, if that helps.

As far as any guest appearances go, we might take stuff like that into consideration. Like I said, we're in a bit of a transitional phase right now and we actually have some mid-level industry guys coming on in the coming weeks to talk with us, so we'll see what we can do! Thanks for the interest!

If you don't mind me asking, could you post some of your stats? Like the average number of listeners you guys get and stuff?

Currently we're clocked at about 200 downloads per episode with about 10k unique hits to the site in 2 months. Not bad for a start, but we really want to get a larger listener base, which is part of the reason for expanding like this. We're also kicking around potential advertising deals and other methods of getting the word out, so we'll see.

P.S. do you have any shots of you available to add to said intro or do you not want yourself included?

P.P.S. Not that you'll need them immediately, but how about some bumps fillers when crossing segments or "commercial" break types?
