hey im new here and i was wondering what kind of thickness should I get... 0.080?

well i assume you are talking about plastic... but what type of case are you planning to make? vaccum formed? or just cut it out? a xbox 360 would be a heavier portable and would need a lot of bracing to keep the plastic case from sagging or possibly a fall out(weight distribution basically)

Dont forget you still need metal to dissipate heat

Since there is so much damn heat I would go with metal and just sink a bunch of stuff to the metal case.

I was wondering if I can make the bottom plate metal and he side acrylic plexiglass... will this still heat up my laptop? and how about water cooling?

Water cooling is great option, then use plastic shell, metal shields

hey thnx for the reply but I was wondering if you could post a link were I can buy water cooling to put on my laptop, I searched ebay but wasent luky enought. thnx
