Random Gamecube Idea

I had a random idea

For anyone to take, and complete on their own, but I don't have the resources

A Gamecube in the shape of a Yoshi.

*no egg though*

A projector for video, that projects out of the eyes of the yoshi, and speakers built in the sides.

saddle on the yoshi lifts up to show storage space for two controllers and three game cases.

built in gameboy player in the fold open/close mouth of yoshi

disc drive in lower portion of yoshi's neck, that is on it's side, so the door opens with the opening upward.

It popped into my head.

There'd be no need for a screen/monitor, because you could use it on any wall of surface.

Idea good or bad?

this isnt a good OR bad idea, except the case would be pretty hard.

Unless you wanted 3d video with the glasses, or playing it back at 120hz 60 hz per eye, it would be pointless having two video feeds, make it come out through his mouth. I think it'd would be very cool...and I would probably make one to sell it for profit because I really need the money...

But I also bet you aren't the first person to think this up sadly..

I was actually thinking that you'd put the main guts of the machine in his neck/throat, and have the disc drive in his mouth.

Then have the video feed go directly to a video projector, that would project out of his eyes, having the eyes clear, or at least having the pupils clear, so the video could get through without being distorted or cut off.

I still can't do this myself, I can't do vacuum forming for crap, and I don't have the patience to do it all by hand.

Sounds like a cool Idea. I have has similar idea of building a themed case for a console. But the projector idea was something I have ever thought of.

if i had the resources I would do it, so unless people are gonna give me money to do it, I won't be able to.

But yes, the projector came up for it because a few years ago I had an LCD projector that I played my N64 on outside at my friends house (we played against the side of his house).

But yeah, that avatar is huge!!!

If I could get someone to get me a large yoshi figurine (two feet tall) I'd be able to make the whole thing easily enough.

Plus Yoshi has become sort of an icon of Nintendo anyways, and it would be cool to have a functioning Gamecube that looks like a Nintendo character (funnier if it was a character from another company, like Ratchet from Sony, or Sonic from Sega)

Plus Yoshi actually gives the ability to have a nice storage space, unlike if I tried to do Mario or Luigi. I mean I guess I could go with Bowser for the shape, but I like Yoshi more. Plus the color variety for Yoshi is good, I could do a red one, green one, blue one, ect. ect.

this is true, but how to keep the gameboy player and braodband adapter in there for them?
