slow cassete player

my stereo is sort of old, and I recently noticed the cassete player runs tapes very slowly. is there a way to fix this? if so, how?

For all my life up till 2 years ago, I had this problem I had to hold it at different angles to go faster, When I was 8 I would make a lego base at an angle, which worked very well

so wait, I have to hold the tape vwhile I listen to it? is there a permanent fix to the problem?
