This is an incredibly useful tool, especially for soldering SMT components. The magnifying glass helps solder to really small pins (how do you think I soldered the N64 Advance mobo
?) and the alligator clip "hands" keep the board or other components in an easy position to solder to. I wish the joints could be tightened more effectively, because they hold a cut down N64 up fine enough, but it gets knocked down a bit too easily. I'm sure this is an easy enough problem to fix, though; a few rubber pads between the screws tightening the joints should be enough to make it tighter 
.So, again, if you don't already have this, buy it. Ben recommends it in his book, and now I am in his forums. You won't regret it (and Ben says so, too!).
