what to do with a spare gamecube???

Post by sipsorz3 »

so my cousin gave me his gamecube because it didn't work, the only thing that doesn't work is the laser that reads the discs, and everything else works.
so I want to know is there any fun thing I can do with it because now it is just gathering dust.
got any ideas? tell them!

When you say everything works except the disc reader...Hmmm... I know! You could make it into a standard NTSC tv out clock!

I would not bother getting a new laser, you can get a whole new gamecube with controller for $30 at gamestop.

You could also try waiting to see if electric rain finishes his gamecube/SD adapter sometime soon. Then you will not need the disc drive! :D

thanks for the ideas, but I'm not thinking about fixing it because I have a working one,
@ palmertech: I hope electric rain finishes it soon because that sounds like a briliant idea, thanks!

Plain and simple-Mod it, portableize it
Do import mod, IDE mod, and Tecknott's mods(Spelled wrong)

Can't you tweak the pot for the laser to make it read games?
