All,
This is so frustrating. I had my 72 pin cart connector hooked up last night, and working. It had Super Mario 3 hooked up and everything. I used the super joy video and power hookups to hook it up to my TV and use the superjoy AC Adaptor. Now it doesn't work. I even re-enabled the crappy games and nothing. No video. Did I fry it? If so, how do I tell?
I figured using the packaged AC Adaptor would be fine, but maybe I was wrong. Maybe I should've hooked up the battery pack?
Edit: I had a backup NOAC I got out of a rogue Super Joy a guy sold to me at a flea market for $6. SIX BUCKS!!! Desoldered the famicom connector, resoldered the 72 pin connecter (Which sucked btw) and it worked! Glue gunned the connections and it still works! Running off 4 AA batteries to my TV for testing. Thanks for your help guys.
I pretty much abandoned the first NOAC. Whether I have a shorted connection or it's just fried, I pretty much gave up on that one. Now on to the fun stuff!
Help...How do I tell if my NOAC is fried? UPDATE: Success!!!
