Hi, just got a SNES mini today, and I can't get it to power on. When plugged into a Stepdown converter (from 230V to 110V) the adapter outputs about 0.25V and also minimal current draw (~2mA). I'm holding the multimeter like this

You sure the adapter needs 110 and not 230 or whatever?
What kind of converter is it. What is supposed to come out? AC or DC? Are you using the wrong setting on your multimeter?
Also dont test the "current" of anything without using a load resistor, your multimeter will short it out and you could fry either one.

My step down converter says 220VAC to 110VAC
(converstion voltage: 200-240V to 100-120V")
Load: 45W max
European input
So since I bought that converter in a local store I assume it works fine on our wall sockets, and the output is 120V AC maximum, which seems to meet the requirements.
