Rubik's Cubes!!

I searched the forums and there was a topic about this 2 years ago, so I figured it was too old, and there is quite a different crowd of people here now. The question remains the same though: Can you solve a Rubik's cube? And if so, how fast?

Here are my personal times, if you guys care

3x3 best: 35 seconds
3x3 average: 44 seconds
4x4 best: 2 minutes, 28 seconds
4x4 average: 3 minutes, 20 seconds
5x5 best: 3 minutes, 14 seconds
5x5 average: 3 minutes, 50 seconds

The 3x3 average is taken from 5 solves, averaged to the nearest second. The 4x4 and 5x5 averages are guesstimates, because I don't typically solve them that often. For people who know what I'm talking about- my 4x4 is Rubik's brand and my 5x5 is Eastsheen.

I'll post a video if you guys want to to see, but it's not like there's not already a lot of them on Youtube.

Takes me 30-60 seconds, if I'm good. I take it apart, and reassemble it.

Hey, nobody ever said that was the wrong way. It was originally a chemistry teaching aid, and taking it apart just shows that molecules are made up of atoms, that can be recombined in any way.

About a minute and a half for a 3x3. I just started a few months ago.

My cube is sweet its soo smoooth. Got it off ebay.

I can do the 3x3 in average 55-80 seconds. I used to battle this one kid in hs all the time (days I felt good enough to show up anyways haha)

I got a 4x4 on my birthday a long time ago, prolly can't do it now but can get close/maybe lucky since I can do the 3x3. Never messed around with the 5x5 but it def. looks like fun.

My dad taught me how to do it. When the 4x4 first came out he said he was trying to solve it all the time and while at a stop light he figured it out; was two steps away and and the thing exploded and fell to pieces haha

holy crap! I can do the 2x2 in like half hour 3x3 in a trip to denver,CO Like 12 hours of just twisting a rubiks cube and I have no Idea on how I did it.

My average time for the 3x3 is about a little over a minute, I haven't timed myself in a while. I can solve the 2x2, 4x4, and 5x5 too, but again haven't really timed myself.

So which do you guys think is the hardest? Personally I say it's the 4x4 because of the parity errors you can get. I still forget how to fix that every now and then.

For the 3x3 I usually get 75 seconds or so. Last time I timed myself on the 4x4 it was 20 minutes, but that was when I first got it I agree with Black Six about the parity errors.

I like doing the 5x5 on trips for school cause everyone says something along the lines of, "Holy crap, Leonard! You're a genius!"

What method do you guys use to get ~30 seconds?

I used to be able to do a 3x3 in about 40 sec. Then I stopped practicing and dropped to like a minute.

I have never really tried solving a Rubix Cube, They always gave me headaches, I never even got one side of a cube the same color.

3x3x3 in an average of 2 minutes and a best of 1:08.

4x4x4 in a best of 4 minutes.

My fastest 3x3 solve was 32 seconds and my average is probably about 40-45 seconds. I used to be able to do a 5x5. Never timed myself though because a few days after I could do it with no help I accidently broke one of the pieces and it no longers turns.

I do around a minute for a 3x3, and my record was 9 seconds for a 2x2. Those are fun.
