WTB: Xbox 1 samsung dvd drive motor.

I need the motor that moves the laser assembly to and fro, from a samsung dvd drive. I was thinking that someone might have one from a bad/not used drive leftover from their xbox modding days that they could get rid of cheap/free (plus shipping of course).

I actually fixed it. There is a plastic plate that goes over the end of the spindle that holds it just far enough away from the magnets so that the magnet on the spindle doesn't touch the magnet in the motor. The imprint that the spindle fit into in the plate was slightly indented (we're talking a fraction of a millimeter) causing the spindle to touch the motor magnets. So I dabbed a tiny bit of hot glue in the imprint (filling in the tiny indention) and firmly held the spindle in place until it hardened. Then I added some lube and put it all back together and it works!
