Screen Advice Please

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Screen Advice Please

Post by Porta Potty »

I have a 7" Widescreen monitor which I would like to use in my Snes project. The screen looks ok when plugged into my Radica so I hope the Snes will output to it just as well

I have uploaded some pics and I would love to know whether you think I can use this screen to make a massive portable SNES ?

Thanks

PP

It looks promising! But I wouldn't take my word; I haven't even decided what console to do for my first portablization.

Looks like it will work. You just need to figure out the voltage the thing runs on.

Is that supposed to be for a car visor? If that's the case, it probably runs on 12v.

You can probably use it for a portable, but I wouldn't use it on a SNES. Save it for something that can work on widescreen like a PS2. (Unless it can letterbox 4:3 pictures; personally I can't stand it when a 4:3 picture is stretched to 16:9.)
