Free Voip?

Hey guys. I need a free voip program that will allow me to call to the US from Canada for FREE. (Preferably for a unlimited amount of time)

I tried icall but it has a 5 minute limit per each call.
Skype isnt free anymore. Does anyone know of a voip program that will do what I need it to do, for FREE?

yeah, it used to be, but they changed that last January I beleive.

There's always those international calling cards they sell at the grocery store. I think their rates are under 5 cents a minute for most international calls. That's about as close to free as you're going to get for access to the real phone network.

What are you planning on doing with this?

Well my best friend moved to the states, and I like talking to her. There has to be a free voip somewhere.

number 2 and 3. The 3rd one limits you to 300 minutes per week. Just a google search btw.

Don't they have just a voice chat, too (I use Pidgin, so I don't know much about what Live Messenger has)?

Yea you can just do voice chat.

I do that with my wife while I'm at work.

I need stuff that can call to a landline. My buddy does NOT have a pc. Thus why, I dont use skype already.

I use http://www.voipcheap.com/en/index.html on my iPod Touch. 300 minutes a week is plenty.
