without revealing too much of what i'm up to, i'm wondering if anyone might be able to give me insight to an issue i'm having...
on my project for the contest, i'm doing an rgb out mod. i hooked it all up, and i get video to the psone screen, but it's in b&w. if i hook up just the red line and turn it on, all the graphics are red (etc for each color individually). if i connect red and blue, all the graphics are purple (etc for each combo). any idea what might be wrong?
sorry i'm being rather vague... if you have any ideas, though, they would be greatly appreciated.
thanks guys!

no, it's not possible for me to mix it up... the thing i'm working on doesn't have a component mod.Dark-Aries wrote:You sure you did an RGB mod and not mix it up with a component mod?
Just throwing out ideas...because green is black and white on Component...![]()
But I doubt that's it...maybe you wired up green to a wrong pin...
i'm beginning to think i made a mistake on my circuit board...

Without being vague, it probably needs a wire to connect to a certain place; can't say more or I might give the game away (sarcastic).
Ok, if it's anything like my experience with getting RGB on the SNES (didn't bother in the end as composite looked better on the PSone screen anyway); the issue is the C-sync line. When I connected to the luma line I got a black and white image, as you got; connecting to the composite line gave nothing, using a 70R ohm resistor got it working fine. Perhaps you need a resistor on your composite (on PSone screen) for C-sync??
