Hi all,
my 2yo decided he was going to try and put on one of his dvds in my xbox.. well actually 3 in my xbox, that id just finished repairing, and had running to make sure the overheating issues were all amended...
little bugger decided to put 3 dvds in the tray, and the drive stopped reading disks. i cracked it open, and the disk on the spindle/motor had broken clean off and was stuck to the top of the drive.
The bottom had been cracked clean off, and ive attempted to glue it back on, but cant seem to get it dead straight, so the dvds just grind a couple of times and the dashboard doesnt even detect there is a cd in the drive.
Ive tried to replace the spindle with a replacement- but it still does the same thing, so im thinking that the laser might be dead now too.
Im looking for a replacement drive, so i can just change over the circuitry.
If anyone has one laying around, id be more than willing to take it off your hands.
PM me or mail me at luke@ zioncomputers.com.au
thanks!

I've got one. PM me if interested.
EDIT: Sorry, it's a Hitachi-LG drive, not a Toshiba-Samsung. It'll still work though (any drive will) if you spoof the firmware (not hard, I can help you with that if you need to).
