This is a sort of elaving thread, again. I know last time I didn't really leave, but this time I'm more serious about it.

I have a life, I have a job, and these forums no longer pose any interest to me. But the community is tons better than any other forum out there. Y'all should loosen up a lot and live a little, try some crazy things we could talk about.

I'm still here, looking for topics that may interest me slightly, no doubt.

PM me if you want anything, or just to talk, it goes to my email.

Yeah, it'd be a lot better if we were allowed to talk about controversial stuff. Most of my visits to the forum last under a minute cause it's so boring most of the time.

EDIT: I disagree with everything in mothatrucka's statement below. I just won't derail the thread any further arguing with him (unless thread creator allows it, of course  ). But seriously, loosen up people.

EDIT2: Great way to prove my point. I would rather enjoy this argument with you if this environment supported such conversations.

The problem with that is that no matter what someone says, when you disagree with a belief they firmly hold, people have a hard time staying mature. It's very easy to inflame people, and even if it makes things boring, it's better than hearing endless fighting.

EDIT: RockNRoll- Great way to prove my point.

PS: My name's mOthatrucka :x

EDIT2: Really not interested in arguing with anyone. I have better things to do with my time. End of discussion, as far as I'm concerned.

I agree, it is why I barely come here anymore.

Just can't talk about ANYTHING of interest here without getting it locked or deleted.

I mean C'mon

Someone talks about his friend getting thrown in jail. *LOCKED*
OMG THAT IS ILLEGAL *LOCKED*
OMG BLOG*LOCKED*

I would say something but I think I will just keep my mouth shut.

there are plenty of things to talk about, things like ZOMG friend arrested etc dont belong on a videogame forum, a blog maybe, there really isnt much to actually DISCUSS about something like that (beyond "oh that sucks" or "lol") used to be the primary function of the benheck forums was to discuss PORTABLES and the construction thereof, share ideas tecniques tips tricks and show off the things we have made, but the VAST majority of our members now dont contribute anything along those lines, or really anything of intrest at all, its gotten a bit better since summer has rolled around but i would guess its maybe 10-20% of our active members that actually BUILD anything and have anything to show for it

TL;DR start building stuff to show on the forums instead of complaining how boring the forums are, if they are so boring BUILD SOMETHING to show off and bring some life back to this place

like ZOMG friend arrested etc dont belong on a videogame forum
Then I guess the 50% or more of the other topics not related to video games should be locked then?

I can Understand not allowing blogging to an extent, like the stupid ones like "OMG MY FISH DIED" or "OWW I STUBBED MY TOE!" but hell even the serious ones that could have started a decent discussion get locked.[/quote]

Well.. you can get around that rule by starting a discussion and using the story as a way to break into it, or as an example of what your discussing. Keep it in one post and it'll work.

Yea Its kind of unfair but if you make one exception you have to make them all.

if the topic leaves room for open discussion and doesnt obviously lend itsself into going into topics that arent allowed (politics religion and stuff that is obviously illegal or not basically PG13) then it wont get locked, if it doesnt fit with the above then it will its as simple as that, dont like it then go cry about it somewhere else those are the rules
