Does Google go downtime?

Sometimes, I can't access Google for 5-30 minutes. It happens to me every 1-3 days.

Does somebody have this problem or is it just me?

It happens to me too. I can get to the homepage, but I cant search from there or from my google bar or anything. Sometimes it doesn't work for a day or 2 even. I have NO idea why but its annoying as hell.

Really? Wow, that's crazy. Google is rock-solid for me all the time! What ISP do you guys use? Is this at home or at work?

Obviously Google can't make it with a single web server, so they're using a so called round robin DNS server. It means that everytime you request the domain www.google.com, they give you a new IP address.
If Google is down is down for you there are two possible options:
1) You had bad luck and the server you got the IP for is down. Even at Google will occasionally go down. But they have so many machines that that is rarely a problem on a global scale.
2) More likely is that your ISP has an old/bad DNS record. If it happens a lot, try something like OpenDNS.
