QUESTION about headset

Hello everyone.

I have a question about the eDimensional AudioFx Pro 5+1 Headset by Ben Heck.

I am considering purchasing this for my PS3 since my old Logitech PS2 mic is wearing out. I know in this link I provided it says the headset works on the PS3, but not in-game audio. Some sites that I have visited say that it works fine with mic chat on the PS3. Then others say "Plus the AudioFX Pro 5+1 even supports chat audio (not mic) on the Playstation 3.".

My question is that will this headset allow me to chat as usual with the mic, or will it only allow me to hear others?

And I don't know the answer. I don't bother with on-line play.
