REF: GBA and DS Cartridges

Does anyone no the componets that make up the DS and GBA cartridge? I would like to make a homebrew cartridge, but need a little help were to start. Than making a usb connection so it can be read by my PC.

Also wondering is there maybe a way of removing the GBA slot on the DS and installing a SD card reader? load your games on the card and play. That way all you are talking out is just the sd card.

But seriously, you'd be better off buying a flashcart that is fully made and hack that in to your device.

Get an M3 DS Real instead. It has an SD card slot and a GBA expansion pack.

He wants to dump his GBA games onto his PC.

Any decent flash cart comes with a GBA cart reader. I can dump my own roms over USB any time.

I'd get supercard SD... only because I have it and it was cheap.

making a homebrew cartridge is a great effort because of all the devices that need to be present (RAM for ROM storage, a BIOS for accessing the card and transferring an initial loader to the RAM bank, SRAM for save games, optionally various accessories for special cartridges), which makes it much more logical to buy a commercial flash cart.

if you want qulity over cost, get a CycloDS evolution and a M3 3in1
