IN-GAME DNF Footage appears on the Jace Hall Show!

Post by vomitsaw »

I'd feel bad for posting anything Duke Nukem Forever-related unless it was dead serious legitimate, and this appears to be. It feels like finally seeing proof positive footage of aliens and/or Bigfoot!

The Jace Hall Show on Crackle.com (Around 2:32)

Hell is starting to get very, very cold.

Just wait for them to claim this to be leaked footage so they'll have to push back the release date :P

12 years....they clearly had to completely re-do it several times.

And it still doesn't look any better than half-life 2.

I think they are using the Doom 3 engine. Hopefully they will be making it in 3.5d just like the original Duke was done with a 2.5d engine. Could make for some mind bending mazes.

I'm not holding my breath, but it certainly can't be too far off at this point. Supposedly that footage is roughly 6 months old and it looks pretty darn good from what I can tell so far. Anyhow, I can't wait! If the gameplay/multiplayer is anything like Duke3d, I might as well mod my computer chair into a toilet. Spent a good chunk of my childhood Dukematching over a 14.4 modem into the wee hours of the morning. Good times. :)

Actually, it's a HEAVILY modified version of the Unreal 2 engine I believe. I think the only thing that's still in tact is some of the networking code, but pretty much everything else has been tweaked beyond recognition. Curious to see what the system requirements will be. Probably something in between the Doom3 engine and Unreal engine 3, but that's just a guess.

COMING SOMETIME THIS CENTURY... THE TEASER TRAILER..

We are in for an eventful time anyway, Duke Nukem Forever is coming out the same time as Too Human, Chinese Democracy and Starcraft: Ghost.
