Batteries with same V and different mAh

I have two batteries from Nintendo, one says 3.7V 600 mAh and the other says 3.7V 1000 mAh. Question is, would I be able to put the higher ? My paranoia says, "No something will go wrong and I will ruin my stuff,"

The Internet and physics say, "More milliamp hours = more time,"

Help me before I destroy my poor SP/DS!

When it comes to power supplies and batteries, you really need only pay attention to voltage. Larger current value just means more is available, should the device call for it.

mAh is not current though, it's capacity. But the same principle goes: Higher value=more capacity.
