Hi--
Sorry if this isn't placed in the proper slot, but I stumbled across this site in a GOOGLE search. I did all of the narration and voice-over work for the Philips CDi "TREASURES OF THE SMITHSONIAN" project, back in 1991. I never got a copy of the finished disc from the producers, only a minute of material on cassette tape.
I know the players are very scarce now, but I wonder if anyone can tell me if the disc can be at least *heard* on a regular CD player? I'd really like to get my hands on this program, as the audio portion is entirely my work and I've always been curious to hear how it turned out.
Any info would be greatly appreciated, and anyone with any helpful pointers can contact me at jefo715 (at) comcast (dot)net
Thanks!

Hi there, and welcome. First, I'd suggest asking your question over at this website:
http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/
It's a community of rare video game collectors. There's a good chance that someone has heard of it. Also, be careful of posting your e-mail address publicly unless you want a lot of spam.

You should edit your post to display: jefo715 [at] comcast [dot] netjefo wrote:Thank you very much for your speedy reply. Yeah-- I'm hopelessly out of my depth, I know. Just thought I'd take a stab at attracting some useful info. I'll check the link you provided!
It'd save you from a LOT OF SCAM !
Just to help !

Cool-- as the kids say. Do kids still say that? I'll have to ask one...
I edited my previous post to fix the email problem.
I cannot seem to get into the ASSEMBLER site, despite trying to register and awaiting email confirmation/instructions for what to do next-- and then following directions as to what to do if I'm having trouble registering... Nor can I see my reply to the "Reply here if you're having trouble registering" . Posts don't seem to be arranged in any logical chronology.
I find the site very counter-intuitive. I'll keep poking around until the (apparently) cranky moderator either replies or boots me...
Sigh...!

Yeah, most of kids still says cool
I hope you'll be able to register at assemblergames, it's the best palce on the net to find info on prototypes and dark gaming equipements, just as benheck is the best place for portables.
I don't see your replies on the "Read this if you're having problems registering" forums, just tell me via pm what's your problem with registration and I could help you.
I hope It'll work !

I understand you're new, but the News forum is only for discussing completed projects, either ours or Ben's. You're asking a technical question, and we have an entire forum dedicated to that.
