Oklahoma Video Game Exhibition (OVGE) 2008 = GO!!!

Post by Life of Brian »

Edit: New info
The show is from 9 am to 5 pm and will be at the Marriott Southern Hills Hotel in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Visit http://www.ovge.com for more information

Original post:
I just got an email announcing the next Oklahoma Video Game Exhibition! It didn't happen last year and I was very sad because no one had any clue if it was coming back, but it is! Here's the link to the website.

So, who wants to go? It will be on August 9, 2008. I've gotta get cracking on finishing my portables!

The tenth post in this thread over at Digital Press has links to pictures of past shows. As you can see, it's going to be pretty awesome. I didn't get to go to the Midwest Gaming Classic (too far away), nor did I get to go to the last OVGE so this definitely makes up for it.

Dang. The time of year when I'm able to take vacation, but it's so far away. I'd never be able to afford it.
This post brought to you by David Duchovny's glorious nipples.

<s>If someone can pick me up from the airport and give me a couch to crash on, I can take care of the rest (assuming I can get off work during a weekend, which could be tricky)</s>

Sorry guys, got something going on that I didn't really know about

If enough forum members decide to go I might (assuming I got money)

Unfortunately this conflicts with the evolution tournament dates. Evo is closer and cheaper, but less people I know and no chance of me winning.

It is not junk! It is assorted goods with no current use.

And if sponge could somehow smuggle me onto an airplane and give me a cushion of said couch, I could go :P
But yeah, highly unlikely I could ever make it, 2nd BH get together this year would be interesting :P

I dont fly and it's about 10 hours to drive, so maybe there is a train of some sort from chicago to tulsa.

Unless someone wants to rent an RV and cruise down there haha.

damn, as much as I want to go... that's my girlfriend's brother's birthday and also the start of her giant family reunion. Assuming we're still together (which I expect to happen) I won't be able to make it :(

I plan on going. John'll probably be driving down to my place and carpooling :D (Assuming he will still be able to go)

Five, including me. I live in Broken Arrow, which is like five minutes from Tulsa so if anyone needs a ride down to OKC then let me know.

Why would you give rides to OKC if the thing is in Tulsa?
