I've been following the guide (http://snesdev.romhack.de/som2.htm) on how to build an English Secret of Mana 2 cartridge and I've just got a few questions (more like a lot of em'!).
So far I've got the eproms programmed with the four files (1048576 bytes each) so I think i'm good with that.
But now I have to find a 74ls139 chips. What exactly does this do? And i've searched on ebay and other stores and couldn't find any, so is there anyone that can point me to a place that sells them for cheap?
My second question is, since I'm using Illusion of Gaia (playing on an NTSC SNES) will the game run at 60hz to go along with my t.v?
Since I am using IoG and he used Illusion of Time will there be any differences in building the cart?
Also, I ran across this picture (Same guy that made the guide I think)

I was just wondering what is under the black tape, since the mask rom was removed earlier.
If i'm ever to get everything working will the game have the save function and 2 player mode working properly?
Lastly, what kind of cables would you recommend for soldering everything together?
That should be it for now. Sorry about asking so many questions I am pretty eager to play SoM2 on my snes (hopefully)
Thank you so much for the help!
