I'm having trouble finding a pinout for a 6-button Genesis controller. I've got a mobo for a 6-button controller, and I was wondering if I could modify it into a Genesis controller. It's already got nine pins, I'm just not sure what order they need to be in to work with the Genesis.

Thanks for the link. That's what I needed to know.
I suppose since the controller I have has NO chips in it, it won't work. Oh well.

It could, you just need to wire the 6 buttons into a multiplexer and hook the select pin to it.
