does anyone have memory card schematics
I've been looking all over the internet for n64 memory card schematics and I can't find them. sorry If this has been asked a hundered times before. If it's of any use I'm using a 3rd party performance memory card. It has a winbond w24258s-70le eeprom which links directly to the pins.

actually yes I was looking into making a bigger memory card but I was also wondering if there was some way to connect it to the computer too. I know theres the dex drive, but I was just wondering if it had similar pinouts to anything like sd cards. I was also trying to figure out If I could do something like the sd gecko on the gamecube that lets you plug sd cards into the memory card.

Thats a great idea...A few 2 gig SD's, and you'd be set for life.

well for the eeprom or flashrom on my memory card I came up with this, its a 28 pin...

update: o.k. i've been doing some looking and....
the sram on an n64 memory card has
a0 - a14 --address inputs
I/01 - I/08 --data inputs/outputs
cs --chip select input
we --write enable input
oe --output enable input
vdd --power supply
vss --ground
adding up to 28 pins
a cf card is about as close as I can find that would work here's the specs
a0 - a10 need 4 more
I/01 - I/08 could this be "data bus" data bus is d0 -d15 its bi-directional idk what that is
cs possibly the equivalent of ce - card enable (input)
we - pin 36 of cf card
oe - pin 9 of cf card
no vdd but a couple of vcc (are they the same???)
vss a couple of these on cf card

Before you do much soldering, you cant just hook a memory card up to where the sram was. Also memory cards dont use sram, and they probably do use a more complicated addressing scheme.
You could build a circuit with a microcontroller to handle things. maybe.

In my general opinion I don't care about memory cards. WHat good games even need them? none of them that I can think of. Also just buy about 5 memory cards and your set. you don't need 2 gigs just for the few games that even need it.
