how do you split a Gc controller

Well im almost done with my Noac p and while the paint drys and stuff im lookin into my next project a GCp. I have figured everything else out but how to split the gc controller. Spliting the Super joy 3 controller was no chalenge for me but the GC controller is all wierd. Well anyone have a pic of there split controller or already made a guide how to do this?
