vaccum form?

I'm looking into ways of making the case for my NESp and I've seen some awesome cases made with vaccum form techniques. I have also heard that it is pretty simple to make a vaccum form table.

What exactly is a vaccum form table and how does one build a vaccum form table? I honestly know nothing about the process so if someone could refer me to a helpful site that would be great.
