Just an update-- I have ordered the screen and it is on its way! I'm heading down to radioshack to pick up some last pieces i need and it'll be complete!

Stashing a portable into a cardboard box can be liberating. It's fun because if you need a hole cut into the case for something you can just chop it out and keep on soldering. It won't win you any Brownie points, however...

Hook us up with some more pictures once you get it done! Looks like things are going well so far.

Well, i might purchase a couple sheets of plastic to make a case, but the cardboard! its amazing! and I dont wanna make it sad.

The cardboard is really sturdy, and was free...

So after I chopped it up and put hot glue in there to support the flimbsy parts (where the cartridge slot is)...

Anyways, I expect to finish it in a week... Depends on how long the LCD takes
