Married or Divorced?

Well it seems to me quite a few people have parents that are divorced. I could be wrong, it could be that I just don't make a note of people with happily married parents. So I ask you all, how many have parents that are divorced, and if you don't mind the cause of divorce, as if 50% of your parents are divorced, and 80% did so for a similar reason, it would be beneficial to us all to know what to avoid in our future relationships.

And I'm just curious as to what the actual percentage is.

My folks have been married for, jeez, 29 years now I think. They're an amazing example to me and my two brothers of what a marriage can and should be.

Divorced when I was 2 years old. Then my mother hooked-up with a black guy, and they've been together for 15+ years now.

my parents will have been happily married 33 years come this june. i can only hope that some day i'll be able to live up to their awesome love and respect for each other.

My parents were married for like, 20 years, divorced for ~3-4, but we all still live together. I just dont think my parents liked the word married.

My parents have been married for over 43 years now; I myself have been married for coming up to 12 years, in a very loving and caring relationship; soul-mates and best friends (truly the sign of a good marriage).
