That was my thought! Grah! Then why isn't my battery working? It works nicely on a NES!

Thats the exact battery I bought, and it is hooked up to the original NES power cord (It was broken, so i salvaged it

Is there anything that could be causing this? When i hook it up it makes a noise (actually, the TV does..)
