Crazy number of people on the site lately...

Yeah. The title says it all, not only has there been tons of guests on lately, the most users online just went to 40 today. Im wondering, why the heck are so many people here? Is it the book? Did some site link here? I just wanna know. (All you guests feel free to comment!) Also, we now have 403 members! Whats up with that!?
EDIT: Or is it the link on the atariage forums?

yeah i have been watching the member count and it is going up FAST we have had over 100 new members in less than a year its crazy!

i wanted to start on a simple project (radica + hip gear) so i decided to register. im not doing the cartridge slot (yet) but im just trying to connect the two together and make it run on batteries. im still searching for a detailed procedure on how to do it, since the information in the forums are a little scattered.

40 at one time?! Thats a lot that what about 50% more then what caused the forums and site to crash when the slash dot happened in November.

As for attention. I'd say its a combination of the book and Ben's high profile projects, like the PS2p and the PS2/Atari combo.

It really shouldnt be suprising guys. Retro gaming is a big trend and thats more or less what this little hobby centers around. Thoug I guess Gamelver and Ben and risin above that with the GCp and PS2p.

Me too, I was expecting another computer article when i flipped to Ben's SNESp page. When I saw some mutant SNES thing with a 5" screen, I imprinted his web address into my mind and here I am.
