Any of you people who play D&D (the real thing), what are some of the stories from your campaigns that are quite humorous?

My level 2 Human Cleric is an Alcoholic and a Pyromaniac

Last night during the slaughterguard campaign, me an my group consisting of a Halfling, a Barbarian Meatshield, A wizard that isnt even paying attention, A wizard that loves magic missile, a Alcoholic Cleric, and an archer that cant hit the broad side of a barn met a goblin named frank. He stunk so our halfling poured perfume on him, but he got close to the fire and fell in, we had a gobin running around on fire (Oh my god I'm on fire!)

My friends dad worked for TSR, I can't exactly remember what he did but it was something important. On top of that, he has a few boxes with unlicensed stuff in his garage.

Anyway, at school we had games club last year, it actually starts again next week. I was the only "unserious" character, a rogue that made it to level 5 who was the hamburglar

i would very much so like to play dungeons and dragons. Unfortunately, I lack the social skills to find anyone to play with.

I don't get it. Why make up background stories for pieces of plastic? Does it add some sort of value or advantage in the game?

originally, D&D didn't have plastic pieces, just dice, but in the newer ones they've been using plastic and boards. it was just a storyline with rules before that, thats when it was good.

also, in the newer ones they took off almost all of the references to witch, witchcraft, demons, and ghosts and other spooks because of the lawsuits, and focused more on elves and that kind of stuff which I don't like...

i agree. i've never been in a game that used plastic figures. although we had this one guy who loved to bring them in and show off his tediously painted figures. meh.

not really humorous but made of win: i was a level 4 or 5 human rogue named scout ^^. we were fighting a mess of goblins and one of the other characters picked one up and tried to choke him. i critically hit that goblin with my bow and arrow and stuck him to the wall.
