Sound problems

Post by Edutainment »

I want to play my guitar with some effects with something like Guitar Rig. Guitar Rig is totally useless with my sound card so I'm using Amplitube, which is also rad. My problem is, I read that instead of getting a higher end card, you can just install ASIO for it to run better. So I installed ASIO4ALL but it says the output is unavailable, so now that I can do this undelayed, I can't hear it. Here are my settings:

First window are my default settings that will be very messed up, unless I change the buffer size which will make it very delayed. Second window is settings using ASIO. I think it says the inputs are not connected 'cause it does input stuff through the ASIO4ALL CP. Third window is ASIO4ALL CP where, as you can see, it says output is unavailable. The input meter in Amplitube isn't delayed like it would be without ASIO, but it's useless if I can't hear it.

My guitar is plugged into line in. Any idea why ASIO won't output sound?

Ok I figured it out lol. I had iTunes running

But now something new. ASIO did nothing for me, it's still ringing and stuff. I guess I just need a better card.

Have you read the ASIO4All FAQ? I bet you haven't.

I suppose with anyone else, you'd be right, but I checked it a few times.
