Just beat Bioshock, had me hooked to the very end. I got the good ending, very heartwarming, but kinda short given the amazing story with all the political backdropping and religious undertones up to that point. Anyways, I was trying to figure it out all the way through, and though I found a lot of the "secret" questions, I never did pick up on exactly why the Little Sisters call the Big Daddies "Mr. Bubbles". Could anyone let me know?

It's a name. Haven't you been around little kids at all? They give silly, obvious-sounding, or completely random names to things. The laws of logic do not apply to them.

I hate little kids they're so annoying and obnoxious......like me
Ugh, well that's lame. I was actually looking for some symbolism or metaphor or something... I guess that's one of the many flaws of a psyche that naturally overcomplicates things.
I just think that it adds to the whole overall scare the hell outta you tone. Ever play it for the first time and come across a big daddy? "Mr. Bubbles, where are you...", it scared the hell out of me.
