I have a giant gameboy display that I would like to make into a real gameboy color. I'm not at home right now so I can't give specifications or a picture at the moment, but it would require a battery, oversized buttons, d-pad, on/off switch, and volume control, and about a 10 inch lcd. I also do not presently have a gameboy color, but I can get one if need be.

giant gba would probably be easier, just make it look like a gbc

This is a pic of both my giant gameboy and my original gameboy case. Both could be modded into systems. The case would be easier since it already has some supports in it and opens and closes whereas the gameboy color is slightly warped on one side and doesn't want to stay together. It also has no latch. The viewing area on the GBC is 10 5/16" and the Gb is 4 11/16".

*EDIT - While I'd like to make them into faithful adaptations of their respective models, if making them into GBAs would be easier/cheaper, I'm more than willing to go that way.

Isn't that a gameboy pocket?? well not exactly pocket sized but it's not the shape of the Colour.

and yer, making a GBA out of it would be a lot easier as it has a TV out with one of the addon acessories (ask Bacteria about it, he's done work on them).

OMG, I had that exact same Game Boy case (the one on the right). I thought I was the only one, haha.
