iPod Touch Emulation (PSX and GBA)

Post by CronoTriggerfan »

I've been trying out some emulation on the Touch, and it's pretty neat. Already playing NES thanks to BigBoss, and have installed PS and GBA. How do those two play, namely GBA? Are the controls less crippled than NES? Thanks!

Gba would probably be fine, but I doubt the Playstation will be playable for longer than 5 minutes.

I haven't tried the GBA and Playstation emulators because I have no urge to go through the hassle of putting the ROMs on there. The NES roms were easy enough, but until there's a better solution like BigBoss's for the other two, then I'm just gonna wait around. I've heard the GBA one isn't too bad speed-wise, but the controls are similar to the NES emulator. As far as the Playstation, it's in 0.1 stage, so pretty much as beta as it gets, I wouldn't expect much right now

The controls for the GBA emulator arent bad. I havent played the NES emulator though, so I cant compare the two.

The emulator is really slow, even for pokemon.

Well this should answer your question about PS1 emulation:

Looks pretty promising, just maybe not on the controls...

Really? I've seen it emulate Mario Kart damn near full speed; so why would it run Pokemon slow? That's kinda dissapointing. I heard the battery life when playing is bad, too, like an hour tops. Can anyone confirm this?

I like the gba controls better, but it is still really only good for games like pokemon fireemblem and advancewars. speed was decent last time I checked.
