First PSP mod....that I know of...

Post by Gamelver »

....was done by me :)!!!!!!!!! Why? because my damn analog stick fell off and got lost, so I needed to replace it!!!! with what, you may ask?......the top of a c-stick from a GC controller, of course :P!!!!!!!!!
so here it is, the first (and if not THE first, MY first ;)) psp mod:
Image
it's a bit bigger than the normal analog nub but it feels good :)...
Image
also, it sticks out bit more but once again, it feels pretty good :).....
Image
here's a shot of the whole thing :)
hope you guys like it :)!!!!!
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

I know, I know :P......but seriously, first of all I didn't want to have to call the Japanese PSP customer service or whatever, try to see if I could return it to get it fixed, and then have to wait a good while before getting my psp back......and second of all: now my psp's unique :D!!!!!!!!!!

oh yeah and I e-mailed sony about it, and they said they couldn't send me a replacement analog stick :(....they would need to fix it, 'cause it's SO hard to pop in a new analog stick .....

The stick from a PS/PS2 controller is way too big. The PSP in very tiny, and so is the stick on the PSP.
When in Japan with access to just about every system ever made and those that have yet to see international soil, gather your forces, and make the cool ones your own.

Does it move like a normal Analog stick, or is it like the PSP on, touch sensitive? The C stick on the Gamecube is very comfortable and sweat-resistant.

well, it is still the normal PSP sliding stick, if that's what you're asking.....I didn't change the analog stick at all except for the top part, which came off and got lost.....

It seems odd mixing Nintendo with Sony that way, but its probibly the closest you'll get to what the Playstation might have been.

yeah, it's a bit ironic :P..........

well, if I do paint it, I sure as hell won't use spray paint!!!! the part's way too small and I wouldn't want paint to get everywhere else (I know I could put tape down but why bother with all that when you can just use a brush?).......I may be getting a skin for my PSP, so I'll wait until I choose the skin before I paint it ;)....

Its cool and all but mixing nintendo and sony is a weird thing to do since nintendo is very bright and colorful and sony is kind of a cool jet black
