Power Question (More Batteries)
Okay, this might sound n00bish, but I need to know if I can use more than 6 batteries on my Atari Portable that I'm working on. The battery holder I bought can't be modified easily, so I need to know if I can use 8 instead of 6.
Refusing to change my avatar since like freakin 2007.

EDIT: I just reread your post. Just don't use 2 of the battery slots. It's not really a big deal.
Firstly, you really didn't need to start an entirely new thread for this question, the old thread would have been just fine.
Secondly, if the atari runs on 6 origionaly (I don't know if it does as I'm not familier with that system just yet), then adding 2 more may fry it unless you add a regulator or something. I'm not sure why you would want 2 more batteries unless it's a question of battery life or something.
There's a wealth of information on the internet reguarding batteries and power. Just use google, or the search function on our forum. Those questions that seem (actually are) noobish can be answered usually with just a little research.
additionally, if you are really serious about starting this hobby, go get ben's book. I got mine used on amazon for like 4 dollars. There's a lot of good information on there, and reading it can save you a lot of face publically.
