iPod Shuffle + GB = Big iPod Shuffle?

The iPod Mini one doesn't really apply to the Shuffle 'cause Shuffles don't use a Microdrive, but the iPod Shuffle uses flash memory, so would it be possible to expand it's size? 'Cause that would be pretty awesome, although it might make it thicker/frankenmod-ish.

Yeah, you probably could upgrade it but it would be extremely hard. There are a tons of miniscule surface mount pins on the flash chip. I'd also think it would be a bit hard to find the same size flash chip. But if you could find one, and have a proper surface mount soldering station, it could be done.

On some ipod nanos, you could use an ATA hard drive on them, using some unused contacts on the flash memory. Never seen anything about the same for shuffles, but ya never know.

I'm going to look into this. It would be totally awesome. I really don't need a screen. I like Shuffles and I'd like it even more if I could fit more albums on it.

I never really understood the Shuffle, why is not having a screen a selling point? Like, is it so hard to not look at the screen when picking a song?

Is it a selling point? I just like the price.

I don't think it is possible to upgrade the memory if it is on board
Just find an old iPod and do one of the upgrades like in the instructables
