Evidently it was just a straight port of the arcade game The Fast and The Furious, with the license removed. Sadly, it's not getting very high ratings from the gaming press.

:P Looks really ricey. Sort of like the last few Need for Speed games. (Carbon... uuuugh. 1970 Camaros don't drift when you turn the wheel al little bit! Just the opposite; they understeer!)

But in all seriousness, those graphics aren't very "modern", even for the Wii. It looks like an early PS2 game. I mean just look at the draw distance; it rivals Driver 2! (the 7 year old PSX game)

Keep dreaming, man. They have no reason to put more money into this game, since they're obviously trying to crap out a game as cheap as possible to make a few quick bucks. Look at the evidence:

- It's a port of a last-gen arcade game (the original came out in 2004)
- The graphics aren't getting updated, except to replace movie art
- It hasn't retained the movie license (Universal probably didn't want to be seen associating with this game nowadays)
- It's Wii exclusive (many of its third party titles are lackluster throwaway games like this) this also proves that they don't care about graphics. If they did it would have been made to 360 specs and backported like everything else.

And as icing on the cake, here's a gameplay video of the arcade game:

I'm disappointed by this release. Adding more emplasis on "NAAAWWWSS" and drifting than real driving skills always makes a game really suck. It would be passable if they made it play like the other Crusin' games (Exotica and USA were great), but they made it drive like NFS:Carbon.

actually in a racing type situation its the front heavy RWD cars that have the tendancy to oversteer a lot, its FWD cars that tend to understeer you into walls and such

Yes, in realistic games like Forza and GT4 they do. However in these games when you turn the wheels just a little bit (around 1/4 the way) the back end swings out like majik and stops before you start doing donuts, even if you have it floored. On the other hand, even Arcade mode in GT4 will let you spin out if you try to pull that off improperly.
